冬の澄んだ空気に包まれ、東京クラシッククラブのフィールドも一年の締めくくりにふさわしい落ち着きと品格を湛える季節となりました。コース管理部門では、四季を通じた日々の整備に加え、当クラブが目指す「国際基準の洗練されたプライベートクラブ」実現に向け、ゴルフ場コースメンテナンスの改善計画を着実に推進しております。本号では、本年を通じた取り組みと、その成果についてご報告いたします。
As the year draws to a close and winter settles in, the grounds of Tokyo Classic Club take on a sense of calm and refinement befitting the season. In the Course Maintenance Department, alongside our daily work throughout the year, we have been steadily advancing improvements to our course maintenance practices in pursuit of our vision of becoming a “refined private club that meets international standards.”
In this issue, we are pleased to share an overview of our initiatives over the past year and the results they have delivered.
人員対策 Staffing Measures
〈計画内容〉
本年度は正社員3名の増員を計画しておりましたが、現時点での採用実績は2名にとどまっております。また、今季に4名の退職が発生したため、結果として人員は実質2名の減少となっており、計画比では5名の減少となっています。コース管理チーム全体のスキル向上を目的として経験者を数名採用した一方で、既存社員のモチベーション低下が見られ、他業種の給与水準や退職金を含む、より好条件の福利厚生と比較されることで、退職につながるケースが発生しています。
今後は、新規採用メンバーと既存メンバー双方のモチベーションを適切にマネジメントするとともに、他業種に対しても競争力のある給与体系や労働環境の見直しを進めてまいります。併せて、ブランディングおよび露出の強化を通じて、採用力の向上を図ってまいります。
〈Planned Initiatives〉
During the current fiscal year, we had planned to increase our full-time staff by three positions; however, as of this point, only two hires have been completed. In addition, four staff members have departed during the season, resulting in a net decrease of two personnel and a shortfall of five compared with the original plan.
While several experienced professionals were recruited with the aim of raising the overall skill level of the course maintenance team, a decline in motivation has been observed among some existing staff. In certain cases, comparisons with compensation levels and benefits offered in other industries—including higher salaries and retirement packages—have contributed to decisions to leave the Club.
Looking ahead, we will focus on appropriately managing and sustaining motivation among both newly hired and existing team members, while also reviewing our compensation structure and working environment to ensure greater competitiveness with other industries. In parallel, we will seek to strengthen our branding and public presence in order to enhance our overall recruitment capability.
グリーン Greens
〈計画内容〉
• 刈込回数：週平均10回を維持（現在は冬季のため週3～4回）
• 転圧：週1回実施
• エアレーション：内径10mmで10月上旬に実施
また、グリーン周りのはみ出しベント工事は全20箇所中9箇所を完了しております。
〈Planned Initiatives〉
Mowing frequency: Maintained an average of 10 times per week (currently reduced to 3–4 times per week during the winter season)
Rolling: Conducted once per week
Aeration: Performed in early October using 10mm-diameter cores
In addition, repair work to address encroachment of bentgrass around the greens has been completed at 9 of the 20 designated locations.
ティイングエリア Teeing Areas
〈計画内容〉
• 刈込・施肥・目砂：人員不足の影響で現状維持にとどまるものの、質の維持を優先
• エアレーション：前回発刊からは行っておりません。
〈Planned Initiatives〉
Mowing, fertilization, and topdressing: Due to staffing constraints, operations have remained at current levels; however, priority has been placed on maintaining quality.
Aeration: No aeration has been conducted since the publication of the previous issue.
フェアウェイ Fairway
〈計画内容〉
• 刈込・施肥・目砂：引き続き人員不足の影響を受け、現状維持の状態
• エアレーション：コアリング、サッチング共に人員不足の影響を受け、現状維持の状態
• 暗渠排水工事：2026年6月に実施予定です。
〈Planned Initiatives〉
Mowing, fertilization, and topdressing: Continued staffing shortages have resulted in operations remaining at current levels.
Aeration: Both coring and thatching have likewise been affected by staffing constraints and remain at current levels.
Subsurface drainage work: Scheduled to be carried out in June 2026.
ラフ Rough
〈計画内容〉
• 刈込・施肥：引き続き人員不足の影響を受け、現状維持の状態
ラフエリアでは、修理地をなるべく少なくしながら実施するため、試験的に「エルトロ芝」の試験的に張替えと薬剤による除草剤散布を続けております。
また、来季は1000㎡張替実施予定です。
〈Planned Initiatives〉
Mowing and fertilization: Continued staffing shortages have resulted in operations remaining at current levels.
Rough areas: In order to carry out maintenance while minimizing the number of ground-under-repair areas, trial replacement with El Toro turf has been ongoing, along with continued herbicide application.
In addition, approximately 1,000 square meters of turf replacement is planned for the coming season.
バンカー Bunker
〈計画内容〉
バンカー
◯バンカー周りの芝生
・刈込回数、施肥回数の増加
◯バンカー砂の入替
・造成時に使用した砂が入手できなくなった。
・粒径を合わせると色が異なるため、景観を保つためには、バンカー砂をすべて入れ替える必要あり。
◯バンカー砂の補充
◯定期的な形状維持の工事
今年度の砂入れ替えは外部業者に頼らず、スタッフによる自主施工により、予定費用の半分で完了いたしました。バンカー砂の交換に関しては、12月～3月にかけて各バンカーの砂の厚さをはかりながら優先順位を決めて今後も毎年実施してまいります。

Bunker
◇ Life around the bunker
Increase in mowing frequency and fertilization
◇ Entry into the bunker
Sand used for construction has become unavailable for entry.
Since the color changes when mixed with seed, it is necessary to replace all bunker sand in order to maintain consistency.
◇ Replenishment of bunker sand
◇ Regular maintenance work to maintain shape
This year’s bunker sand replacement was completed through in-house work carried out by our staff, without relying on external contractors, and was accomplished at approximately half of the originally budgeted cost.
With regard to ongoing bunker sand replacement, thickness measurements will be taken for each bunker between December and March to establish priorities, and this process will continue to be implemented on an annual basis going forward.

コース管理棟増築
現在計画中です。着工は来年度以降を予定しており、今後の運営体制の強化に寄与する施設となる見込みです。
〈Planned Initiatives〉
Expansion of the Course Maintenance Facility
Plans for the expansion of the course maintenance building are currently under development. Construction is scheduled to commence in the next fiscal year or later, and the new facility is expected to contribute to strengthening the Club’s operational framework going forward.
