理事長あいさつ/Chairman’s Message

私たちは「豊かな文化の在るべき姿を復興し次世代に志を繋ぐ。そして、国際社会に貢献できる人材を育成する。」をビジョンに掲げ、これまで日本になかった「家族単位で帰属できる日本初の真のカントリークラブ」を目指してまいりました。おかげさまで、当クラブは日本国内のみならず、海外からも高い評価をいただけるようになりました。

Our vision has been “to revive the true essence of a rich cultural heritage, to pass its spirit on to the next generation, and to cultivate individuals who can contribute to the international community.” Guided by this philosophy, we have endeavored to create Japan’s first true country club—one in which families can belong as a unit, a concept previously unseen in this country. Thanks to your support, our club is now highly regarded not only within Japan but also from abroad.

さらに、私たちは「国際基準の洗練されたプライベートクラブ」を標榜し、既成概念にとらわれず、常に新しい挑戦を重ねてきました。これからも、日本に在るべき「プライベートクラブ」、そして、唯一無二のクラブを目指して歩みを進めてまいります。

We have also aspired to establish a “refined private club that meets international standards,” continuously taking on new challenges without being bound by convention. We will continue working toward the ideal of what a private club in Japan should be—one that is truly unique and unparalleled.

こうして、グランドオープンから９周年を迎えられたのは、メンバーの皆様をはじめ「東京クラシッククラブの成長を支えてくださったすべての皆様」のご理解とご協力のおかげです。この場をお借りして、心より御礼申し上げます。

It is through the understanding and support of all of you—our members and everyone who has contributed to the growth of Tokyo Classic Club—that we are able to celebrate the ninth anniversary of our Grand Opening. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest appreciation.

今年1年を振り返りますと、1月に会則の改定を行いました。今回の改定では、クラブの権限を整理し、ホスピタリティを最大限に発揮したサービスを提供しながら、また、クラブの尊厳を尊重し、ルール違反に対しては毅然とした対応がとれるよう、クラブや現場スタッフに裁量と権限を付与いたしました。権利と義務を明文化することで認識を共有し、目指すべきクラブ像に向かって、皆様とともに築いていきたいと考えております。

クラブには、多種多様な考えをお持ちの方もいらっしゃると思います。しかし、そのクラブの価値は、メンバーとスタッフが互いに敬意を持ち、同じ方向を向いてこそ生まれるものだと考えております。

Looking back on the past year, we revised our club bylaws in January. In this revision, we clarified the governance of the club and empowered both the club and its on-site staff with the discretion and authority needed to deliver hospitality at the highest level, while also enabling them to respond firmly to any violations of our rules in order to uphold the dignity of the club. By clearly defining the rights and responsibilities of all parties, we aim to create a shared understanding as we work together toward the club we envision.

Naturally, our members come from diverse backgrounds and viewpoints. Nevertheless, I believe that the true value of a club is realized only when its members and staff treat each other with mutual respect and look toward the same direction.

また、今年4月から導入したプリメンバー制度は、クラブの理念や文化を正しく理解し、共鳴いただいたうえでご入会いただくための“大切なステップ”として設けました。ご存じの通り、私は不動産デベロッパーです。皆様から「日本じゃないみたいだね」「なんとなく心地がいいね」「居心地のいい空間だね」と言っていただけるもの創りができたことが、何よりの喜びです。私たちはその場所を提供することはできますが、アトモスフィアはメンバー人ひとりが創り上げるものです。そこにこそ、ソサエティ形成のフィロソフィーがあると考えています。

Furthermore, the Pre-Membership Program we introduced in April serves as an essential step to ensure that prospective members fully understand and embrace the club’s philosophy and culture before joining. As many of you know, I am a real estate developer. Nothing brings me greater joy than hearing members say, “It doesn’t feel like Japan,” “There’s something wonderfully comfortable about this place,” or “It just feels right to be here.” While we may provide the physical environment, the atmosphere is ultimately created by each member. That, I believe, is the very philosophy behind building a true society.

来年は東京クラシッククラブが10周年を迎えます。この節目を、クラブのサステナビリティを確立する一年として位置づけ、皆様のお力添えをいただきながら、しっかりと準備してまいりたいと思います。

Next year marks the 10th anniversary of Tokyo Classic Club. We intend to make this milestone year one in which we further solidify the club’s long-term sustainability. With your continued support, we will prepare diligently for the next chapter of our journey.
