The 6th Country Club Committee Meeting (Held on June 17, 2025)
2025年6月17日、東京クラシッククラブの中長期的なクラブ運営方針に関する検討を目的として、第6回カントリークラブ委員会が開催されました。本委員会では、プリメンバー制度の進捗状況ならびに国際的な交流イベントの企画、あわせてコンペ運営や午後プレースタイルに関するポリシー整備について、活発な意見交換が行われました。
On June 17, 2025, the 6th Country Club Committee Meeting was convened with the aim of discussing Tokyo Classic Club’s mid- to long-term operational strategy. During the meeting, active and constructive discussions took place on the progress of the Pre-Member Program, the planning of international exchange events, and the development of policies related to competition management and afternoon play styles.

報告事項 Reports
● プリメンバー制度の進捗について Progress of the Pre-Member Program
2025年4月21日、全メンバーに向けて「プリメンバー制度」開始の案内をメールおよびクラブアプリにて通知し、従来のウェイティング登録者に対しても制度説明および移行案内を行いました。
6月14日時点で、
申込書類配布：31名
申込受付：21名
登録完了：11名（デポジット待ち含む）
となっており、制度開始以降、順調な反響が確認されています。
制度説明の場では、従来のウェイティング制度と比較して入会の見通しが明確になった点が評価されており、プリメンバー本人・推薦メンバーともに制度への理解と前向きな姿勢が感じられる状況です。
一方で、長期間ウェイティングされていた方の中には、生活環境の変化等により入会を見送られるケースも見受けられました。
プリメンバーはクラブ主催イベントへの参加が認められており、11月末予定のグランドオープンイベントには多くのプリメンバーの参加が見込まれています。既存メンバーとの交流を深める良い機会になると考えています。
On April 21, 2025, an announcement regarding the launch of the Pre-Member Program was distributed to all members via email and the Club app. At the same time, individuals previously registered under the waiting list were provided with a detailed explanation of the new program, along with guidance on the transition process.
As of June 14, the status is as follows:
Application materials distributed: 31 individuals
Applications received: 21 individuals
Registrations completed: 11 individuals (including those pending deposit payment)
Since the introduction of the program, a steady and positive response has been observed.
During informational sessions, the program has been well received, particularly for offering clearer visibility into the membership admission process compared with the former waiting list system. Both Pre-Members and their sponsoring members have demonstrated a strong understanding of the program and a positive attitude toward participation.
On the other hand, among those who had remained on the waiting list for an extended period, there have been cases where individuals have chosen not to proceed with membership due to changes in personal circumstances or living environments.
Pre-Members are eligible to participate in Club-hosted events, and a significant number are expected to attend the Grand Opening Event scheduled for late November. This is anticipated to provide a valuable opportunity to deepen interaction and engagement with existing members.
● インターナショナルイベントの開催について International Event Planning
2025年10月16日（木）、海外からのゲストを招いたインターナショナルイベントの開催を検討しています。
本イベントは、在豪プロゴルファーである Paul Sheehan 氏の紹介により、海外ゲスト8名を迎え、東京クラシッククラブメンバーとの交流を目的としたクラブ主催イベントとして企画されています。
プレー終了後には、日本文化や東京クラシッククラブの魅力を体感いただく懇親パーティの開催を想定しており、ゴルフを通じた国際交流およびクラブブランド価値の向上を目的としています。

などについて多角的な意見が出され、今後は委員会の意見を踏まえつつ、クラブ・運営会社側で内容を精査し、具体化を進めていく方針が共有されました。
The Club is considering the hosting of an international event on Thursday, October 16, 2025, welcoming guests from overseas.
This event is being planned as a Club-hosted initiative aimed at fostering交流 between Tokyo Classic Club members and international guests. Through the introduction of Australian-based professional golfer Mr. Paul Sheehan, eight overseas guests are expected to attend.
Following the round of golf, a social reception is envisioned, providing guests with the opportunity to experience Japanese culture and the distinctive appeal of Tokyo Classic Club. The event is intended to promote international exchange through golf while further enhancing the Club’s brand value.
During the Committee meeting, a wide range of perspectives and constructive opinions were shared regarding:
Clarifying the purpose and significance Matters for Deliberation of the event
The approach to cost allocation
The positioning and role of member participation
The choice of event day and the feasibility of an exclusive course closure
English-language support and overall support structure
Based on these discussions, it was agreed that the Club and the operating company will carefully review the Committee’s input and proceed with refining and concretizing the event details moving forward.
審議事項 Matters for Deliberation
● コンペポリシーの整備について Establishment of Competition Policy
まとまった組数の予約はクラブ運営に一定の寄与がある一方、商用・営利目的での利用や予約枠圧迫への懸念もあることから、明確なコンペポリシーを整備する必要性が改めて確認されました。
委員会では、
営利目的コンペの原則排除
組数上限の設定（閑散期を除く）
開催趣旨の事前申告と確認
プライベートクラブとしての品位保持
を基本方針とし、クラブ側が裁量を持って運用していく方向性について合意が形成されました。
表現については「商用目的」ではなく「営利目的」に統一することが確認されています。
While reservations involving a large number of groups can contribute to overall club operations, concerns were once again raised regarding usage for commercial or profit-driven purposes, as well as the potential crowding out of regular reservation availability. Accordingly, the necessity of establishing a clear and well-defined competition policy was reaffirmed.
During the Committee’s deliberations, consensus was reached on the following guiding principles:
The general exclusion of competitions held for profit-making purposes
The establishment of limits on the number of groups (with exceptions during off-peak periods)
Advance declaration and confirmation of the purpose of the competition
The preservation of dignity and standards befitting a private club
It was further agreed that the Club will exercise appropriate discretion in the application and operation of this policy.
In terms of terminology, the Committee confirmed that the expression “profit-making purposes” will be used consistently, rather than “commercial purposes.”
● 東京クラシッククラブポリシーに沿った午後プレースタイルについて Afternoon Play Style in Alignment with Tokyo Classic Club Policy
家族単位で帰属できるカントリークラブとしての理念を踏まえ、午後プレーに限り、一定のルールのもとで4名を超えるコース内入場を認める案について審議が行われました。
主なポイントは以下の通りです。
午後プレー限定での運用
ライダーを含めた人数制限
ライダーはメンバーの家族に限定
子どもの散開防止や安全配慮を目的とした明確なルール設定
既存利用者への事前告知の徹底
ルール案については一部修正のうえ、最終案として整理し、周知を行っていく方針が確認されました。
In light of the Club’s philosophy as a country club where families can belong together, the Committee deliberated on a proposal to permit course access by more than four individuals during afternoon play only, subject to clearly defined rules.
The key points discussed were as follows:
Operation limited exclusively to afternoon play
Clear limits on the total number of individuals, including riders
Riders to be restricted to members’ family members only
Establishment of explicit rules to ensure safety, including measures to prevent children from dispersing across the course
Thorough advance notification to existing users
Following partial revisions, it was confirmed that the proposed rules will be consolidated into a final version and communicated to members accordingly.
その他 Other Matters
営業案内における喫煙ルールについて、葉巻の取扱いに関する表記を整理し、火気使用時の注意喚起を明記する方向で修正を行うことが確認されました。
With regard to smoking rules stated in the Club’s operational guidelines, it was confirmed that the wording related to the handling of cigars will be reviewed and clarified. In addition, the guidelines will be revised to explicitly include cautions and reminders concerning the use of open flames.
今後に向けて Looking Ahead
カントリークラブとしての理念・品格を守りながら、時代やメンバーのライフスタイルの変化に寄り添った制度設計を進めていくことの重要性が、改めて共有されました。
今後も委員会での議論を踏まえ、必要なポリシー整備・制度改善を段階的に進めてまいります。
It was once again shared and reaffirmed that, while upholding the Club’s philosophy and the dignity expected of a country club, it is essential to continue developing systems and policies that respond thoughtfully to changing times and the evolving lifestyles of our members.
Guided by ongoing discussions within the Committee, we will proceed in a phased and deliberate manner with the necessary policy development and institutional improvements moving forward.
