Introduction of New Member – Mr. Naoyuki Koyama

--東京クラシッククラブへ入会されたきっかけを教えてください

2024年4月より東京クラシック馬主クラブに所属し、年間を通じて週2回ほど乗馬を継続していました。クラブハウスでの食事やゴルフを楽しんだり、馬主クラブ主催の里山再生プロジェクトにも参加したりと、自然と触れ合いながら他のメンバーやご家族との交流を深めて心の豊かさを実感することができました。クラブの雰囲気がとてもよく、今回ゴルフのメンバーになることができてとても嬉しいです。

— What led you to join Tokyo Classic Club as a golf member?

Since April 2024, I had been part of the Tokyo Classic Horse Owners Club and continued riding about twice a week throughout the year. I enjoyed dining at the clubhouse, playing golf, and participating in the Horse Owners Club’s Satoyama Restoration Project. Through these activities, I was able to connect with nature, deepen relationships with other members and their families, and truly experience a sense of richness and well-being.

I have always felt that the Club has a wonderful atmosphere, so I am very happy to have become a golf member this time.

--東京クラシッククラブの気にいっているところを教えてください

乗馬、ゴルフ、米作りと四季と自然を感じながらゆっくりと過ごせることです。会員の方々と穏やかな心で1日を楽しんでいます。

— What do you like most about Tokyo Classic Club?

I enjoy being able to spend my time at a relaxed pace while experiencing the seasons and nature through horseback riding, golf, and rice cultivation. I appreciate the calm and fulfilling days shared with fellow members.

--ゴルフとの出会いは

乗馬と一緒に始めました。レッスンを受けていましたが、まだ初心者なのでいきなりクラブメンバーになるのは敷居が高いと思い、プリメンバーになってゴルフを楽しんでいました。

— How did you first get into golf?

I started playing golf around the same time I began horseback riding. I was taking lessons, but since I was still a beginner, becoming a full golf member right away felt a bit daunting. So I first joined as a Pre-Member and enjoyed golfing in that way.

--念願のゴルフのメンバーになってどのようにクラブライフを過ごしていますか

会員の方々との交流が広がり、とても充実しています。また私の知人や友人も馬が好きな方やゴルフが好きな方が多く、お誘いする幅が広がって、より多くの方々とクラブライフを楽しんでいます。ゴルフをした後に馬を散歩させたり、乗馬の後にゴルフの練習をしたりなど、東京クラシッククラブでしかできない楽しみ方が多くなっていきそうです。

— Now that you’ve become a long-awaited golf member, how are you enjoying your club life?

My connections with other members have grown, and I feel a strong sense of fulfillment. Many of my acquaintances and friends also love horses or golf, so I now have more opportunities to invite them and enjoy the club life together.

I look forward to spending my days in ways that are unique to Tokyo Classic Club—such as taking my horse for a walk after a round of golf or practicing golf after horseback riding. I can see myself discovering even more ways to enjoy this special environment.

--ゴルフメンバーになってめきめきと上達をされているとお聞きしました

はい、とても調子が良いです。先日、ホワイトティからINハーフ38、トータル83のベストスコアを更新したので、そろそろブルーティデビューをしようと思っています。

— We’ve heard that your golf skills have improved remarkably since becoming a golf member.

Yes, things have been going very well. Recently, I recorded my best score—38 on the back nine from the white tees, for a total of 83. I think it might be time for me to make my debut from the blue tees.

9周年イベントの新入会メンバー紹介では愛馬に乗って登場/At the 9th Anniversary Event, the newly joined member made his entrance on horseback.

日々、クラブライブを心から満喫されている様子がとても印象的でした。小山様、お忙しい中お時間をいただきまして本当に感謝しています。ありがとうございました。

東京大学建築学科卒業後、鹿島建設入社。ボストンコンサルティンググループを経てオートバックスセブンにて取締役専務執行役員に就任。18年プランテックグループ社外取締役を経て20年から現職。一橋大学大学院 経営管理研究科 金融戦略・経営財務プログラム修了。

Naoyuki Koyama

President and CEO of Plantec Corporation.

After graduating from the Department of Architecture at the University of Tokyo, he joined Kajima Corporation. Following his tenure at the Boston Consulting Group, he was appointed Executive Vice President and Director at Autobacs Seven. He served as an outside director of the Plantec Group for 18 years before assuming his current position in 2020.

He completed the Financial Strategy and Corporate Finance Program at the Graduate School of Business Administration, Hitotsubashi University.
